Cybersecurity that actually reports back

Defensio is a family of security products built and operated by Fidem in Italy. Watch your network from the inside, find what is exposed on the outside, protect your email identity, and have a real SOC watching the alerts. Pick one product or run several from the same account.

The Defensio Ecosystem

Five products, one platform. Two of them you can buy online right now; the other three we scope with you directly.

Why companies choose Defensio

Built and run in Italy

Fidem builds the products and operates the SOC. Your data is processed in Italian datacentres, and the people who answer the phone are the people who wrote the code.

Findings, not noise

Every product ranks what it finds so the things worth fixing surface first, with the evidence and the remediation step attached.

Audit-ready by default

Reports you can hand to an auditor, an insurer or a client, aligned to ISO 27001 and the obligations NIS2 puts on your supply chain.

Questions we get asked

What is Defensio?

Defensio is the cybersecurity ecosystem built by Fidem, an Italian company certified to ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018 and ISO 9001. Seven integrated components — Sensor, XT, DENG, SOC, SECaaS, Identity Shield and Report — cover the internal network, the external perimeter, dedicated scanning engines, staged triage, email identity defence and reporting. Five of them are products you can buy on their own or as one managed service.

What is the difference between Sensor, XT and SECaaS?

The Sensor watches the network from the inside, as a passive appliance installed at your site. XT watches the perimeter from the outside and runs on infrastructure you or we provide. SECaaS is the self-service cloud platform: the same external scanning, bought online and switched on from the portal.

Does the AI see our company data?

Only inside Fidem infrastructure in Italy. The models run on premises, air-gapped, with no calls to external clouds or APIs. No data leaves the perimeter, which is what makes the arrangement GDPR-compatible.

Do we have to install agents on our computers?

No. The Sensor works from a copy of the traffic on a switch mirror port, with no impact and no incompatibility with OT environments, while XT and SECaaS operate from outside with nothing installed on your systems.

Does Defensio help with NIS2?

Yes. Continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, asset inventory and incident detection cover the technical obligations of Article 21, and the SOC supports incident notification within the required window. Fidem runs the full compliance programme in Italy.
